2012 Ferrari 458 Spider Elegante by DMC
In the past few months, DMC has focused its attention on the Lamborghini Aventador, but sometimes enough is enough! Now the tuner changed its point of view and decided to update another Italian supercar: the Ferrari 458 Spider.
The
new package is called 458 Spider "Elegante" and it includes both
performance and aerodynamic updates. The base 458 Spider packs a
4.5-liter V-8 powerplant that delivers a total of 570 horsepower, but
that wasn’t enough for DMC. The 458 Italia Elegante package includes a
remapped ECU and a new stainless-steel exhaust system. these updates are
enough to increase the prancing horse’s output to a healthy 608
horsepower.
Once the tuner finished its work under
the hood, DMC focused its attention on the car’s aerodynamic features.
For this, it installed a new front lip spoiler, a new hood, new side
skirts and a blade wing on the backside. DMC also installed a series of
new elements made in carbon fiber, including: side-view mirrors, front
wings, rear diffuser and fog light covers.
More power and a new aerodynamic kit requires a new set
of wheels. DMC opted for three-piece, forged-alloy wheels, sized 21
inches up front and 22 inches on the rear. These rollers are wrapped in
Pirelli Sport Tires sized 255/30R21 up front and 335/25R22 for the rear.
DMS further enhanced the already awesome handling of the 458 by adding
in a set of sport springs.
Though DMC doesn’t offer any interior shots, it did
mention that this package culminated with fine-Italian leather and
carbon fiber inside the cabin. The interior is also upgradable through a
series of smaller packages that DMC offers for the 458 Italia.
